Wind Burial: The psych-goth reincarnation of the Seattle slowcore band Snowdrift. The slower, ethereal sound of that band started to transform as their aesthetic shifted toward a dynamic approach reminiscent of 1970s rock, with dark avant garde aplomb. They renamed themselves Wind Burial to mark this metamorphosis.
With their new full length, We Used To Be Hunters, they've allowed their longstanding penchant for dreaminess to subtly inform a more dynamic, visceral approach reflective of their live performance. It was produced and mixed by Randall Dunn (Rose Windows, Marissa Nadler, Earth, SunO))) and engineered by Nicholas Wilbur (Mount Erie, LAKE, Hungry Cloud Darkening).
